George received
his Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba
in 1950, graduated from law school in 1954 and was appointed
Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1988. He was called to the
bar in 1954 and has practiced with the firm continuously
since then.
His practice chiefly consists of Wills
& Estates and Real
Estate.
George is an active participant in the Bar Association
and Law Society; and was awarded Canada's Centennial
Medal and the Canada 125 Anniversary Medal. He is a
past president of numerous community organizations including
the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, Winnipeg West Rotary
Club and the Western Canada Aviation Museum. He has
also sat as a member of the Workers Compensation Board,
the Winnipeg Police Commission and was inducted into
the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame. In addition to
his community service George is an avid runner who participates
in the Manitoba Marathon.

Alan practices in the areas of corporate
& commercial law; civil
litigation; wills &
estate planning; and real
estate law. He has been practicing with Chapman
Goddard Kagan and its predecessor firms since his call
to the bar and has appeared at all levels of court in
Manitoba, before administrative boards, as well as before
the Federal Court and Tax Court of Canada.
Community service is a founding principle of the firm
and Alan has been active in the Assiniboia Chamber of
Commerce (Past President), the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce
(Past Secretary and Legal Counsel) as well as Chairman
of the Board of Management at the Salvation Army Grace
General Hospital. Alan also has an interest in yachting
and has been a national judge with the Canadian Yachting
Association. He is still an active Rotarian and active
within the Chamber of Commerce. Alan is also a member
of the Canadian Bar Association and the Manitoba Bar
Association.

Donna joined
the firm as a lawyer in 1982 and was a founding partner
when Chapman & Co. evolved into Chapman Goddard
Kagan. She has practiced continuously with the firm
ever since.
Donna's practice is restricted to
family law; wills
& estate planning; and real
estate conveyancing. She has appeared before courts
in Manitoba, as well as various administrative bodies.
Over her time with the firm Donna has served as President
of the Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce; was on the founding
Board of Directors for the Winnipeg Airport Authority;
and has served on the Board of the Grace Hospital Foundation.
Donna is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association
and the Manitoba Bar Association.

Kelly articled
at the firm in 1983 after having obtained a BA (1980)
and LL.B. (1983) at the University of Manitoba. A lifelong
resident of Winnipeg he continued on with the firm and
became a partner in 1992.
Kelly practices, primarily, in the
areas of family and civil
litigation. He has appeared at all levels of courts
in Manitoba and strives to provide reasonable and responsible
representation to his clients.
An active member of a local golf course, he has also
been a director of New Directions for Children, Youth
and Family. Kelly is also a member of the Canadian Bar
Association and the Manitoba Bar Association.

Mike started
with the firm as an articling student in 1992 and was
made a partner in 2003. Mike has a BA (1989) and LL.B
(1992) from the University of Manitoba.
Mike prefers to work in the areas of criminal
law, real estate,
wills & estates, and
family law. Mike also
carries on a practice dealing with the legal issues
specific to Manitoba's gay & lesbian community.
Until mid-August 2008 Michael will serve as the President
of the Manitoba Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
He has been an elected member of the Manitoba Bar Association
Counsel since 2001. In 2002 Mike was the recipient of
the Manitoba Bar Association “Equality Award”.
Outside of the legal profession, Mike is active with
several community associations and is also an avid competitive
volleyball player.

Al graduated
from the UofM Faculty of Law in 1971 and then moved
to Ottawa where he clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada
for then Justice Judson. He returned to Winnipeg and
was called to the bar in Manitoba in 1973. Al worked
in the Attorney General's office until 1981 as a Crown
prosecutor and then became Senior Counsel to the Manitoba
Securities Commission until 1986. He then joined the
law firm of Simkin Gallagher which dissolved in 1992.
Since 1992 Al has practiced with Chapman Goddard Kagan.
Al works primarily in the areas of corporate
& commercial law. He has particular expertise
drafting corporate documents and commercial agreements.
At the present time Al is President
of the Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce. He is also a
past director of the St. James Village BIZ. He has been
actively involved in various other community organizations
throughout his working career and has shown a consistent
commitment to his community.

Kristine K. Barr is working primarily
in the areas of family law,
wills, estates
and real estate. Prior
to joining Chapman Goddard Kagan in September 2006,
she was an Associate of the firm Warkentin & Calver.
After the dissolution of Warkentin & Calver Kristine
has continued to serve their clients at Chapman Goddard
Kagan.
Kristine completed her Law degree at the University
of Manitoba in 2005 and received her call to the bar
in 2006. Kristine also has a Bachelor of Arts that she
received from the University of Winnipeg in 1995.
Kristine is committed to equality
and human rights issues and is currently serving as
the co-chair of SOGIC Manitoba, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual
and Transgendered Sub-Section of the Manitoba Bar Association.
She volunteers at free community legal clinics at the
Rainbow Resource Centre and at the Fort Garry Women’s
Resource Centre. Kristine is an elected school trustee
with the Winnipeg School Division and is currently serving
as the Vice Chair of the Board. Kristine also chairs
the Social Services Appeal Board.

Alicia is currently a junior associate
with the firm. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree
in 2003 from the University of Winnipeg and graduated
from the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba
in June of 2006. She was called to the bar in Manitoba
on June 14, 2007.
As a junior associate with the firm, Alicia is exposed
to all areas of the law, although she prefers to work
primarily in the areas of family
law and civil litigation.
